Pelumi Abiola-Oseni

Pelumi Abiola-Oseni is a visionary designer whose creative journey began at the age of 13 during a sewing workshop hosted by the Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary. Her first creation—a graduation dress for her 8th-grade ceremony—ignited a passion that grew into crafting elegant dresses worn at weddings, galas, and vibrant summer celebrations by both herself and her friends.

Drawing inspiration from scriptures such as, Proverbs 31:25 “Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come”. PAO Fashionz showcases garments that reflect divine identity, confidence, and God-given worth.

Olúwapẹlúmi - "God is with me"

As she journeyed through university, Pelumi discovered a deeper beauty in her Christian faith—realizing that her true identity and confidence were found in Jesus. This became a steady foundation through her journey. Embracing the meaning of her Yoruba name, Oluwapelumi—“God is with me”—sparked a confidence that was profound, deeply rooted, and transformative. In 2023, this faith-filled journey gave rise to the vision of PAO Fashionz: a fashion brand where storytelling meets style, and where Jesus’ parables, biblical characters, and scriptural motifs are woven into garments that reflect and share the love of God.

Pelumi believes that fashion is a vessel for storytelling, encouragement, and truth. Her designs radiate elegance, confidence, and intentionality. Through PAO Fashionz, she aims to celebrate grace, cultural heritage, and the fruit of God’s love—where every stitch tells a story. Each piece is a reminder of God-given worth, encouraging every wearer to walk boldly in their identity, clothed in “strength and dignity” (Proverbs 31:25).
